We would definitely recommend the Butterfactory to anyone who asked for many reasons; beautiful tranquil location, easy parking and bus capability. Wonderful gardens to enjoy in the afternoon, excellent efficient and friendly service and facilities, ease of set-up and pick up of items and without question the quality of the food!!
I would also add the help offered and supplied in the lead up to the wedding and might include patience too considering the years it had taken to finally book!
We will of course be back and many of our friends have now discovered a wonderful dining option when visiting the South Coast.”

I always enjoy coming here. One of my favorite places to go out for dinner. The food quality has always excellent and so is the service! Maria (the owner) is ALWAYS so welcoming and provides great service! The location is so beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxed. “We ate a long enjoyable Friday lunch at The Butter Factory today, and we both loved the lovely food, service by host / owner Maria and general atmosphere of the place.
Maria was the perfect host, informative and warm.
We ate smoked duck and a house made hummus dip plate for entrees, and the amazing pork belly, and Junee lamb saddle, all cooked perfectly, and presented beautifully.
We enjoyed wines by the glass to match our courses, and noted a thoughtful and quality wine , beer and drinks list that allowed the non driver to enjoy a glass of Noble One for dessert .
We are fortunate to eat out regularly, and have various good eating options around us from the Wollongong - Shellharbour regions. And we were visiting Berry for the morning, which obviously has many eateries. We made the right decision to venture just another half hour , drive slowly through beautiful Numbaa farms and farm houses to eat here.
This restaurant is a rural gem. It’s also very picturesque inside and out, looking out on dairy pastures to the mountains. We also love that it is a family affair.
We will be back soon.
I recommend booking as the rooms filled quickly and deservedly, and dinner would be amazing with the lights and atmosphere of the building .
